The Art of 3

As we approach the All Star weekend, let us think about the first half of the season. Coming into the 2010, the topic of discussion was, and still is, Kobe and Lebron. Kobe for his potential 3 peat as an NBA Finals Champion, and Lebron for his potential 3 peat for season MVP. But which run would be more impressive?

While many say that Lebron's feat would be much more feasible, because the MVP is an individual award, one must realize the challenges that Lebron faces. Many NBA analysts have compared Miami's main pieces to those of the Bulls' in the 90's, but lets face it guys, Pippen was no Wade. For Lebron to come to South Beach and take over "Wade's team" really shows how skilled Lebron truly is. Not mention the fella out in Oklahoma City, giving Lebron a run for his money.

As far as Kobe, a 3 peat in terms of Championships is always a great accomplishment, and should be given the utmost respect. And while the Lakers arent looking like the best team in the NBA, we all know Kobe turns it up just a notch, come playoff time. Lets see what happens. For all those who refused to put Kobe's name up there with Jordan's in the past, would really have no choice if Kobe pulls this one off.

So in the end which accomplishment is truly more impressive? I guess its up for debate.

  1. I think you have to look at the fact that the cavs have lost 24 in a row and attribute that to the loss of lebron james. With that argument it proves how great he is and why he deserves the mvp

  2. Well it def shows how great he is, but does it really show that he deserves to be MVP on a completely different team? I mean if Miami didn't have Lebron, they would still have Bosh and Wade. Now if Oklahoma didn't have Durant, they would be trash. Who is more valuable to their team?

  3. True. I would say Durant then. Westbrook helps but he is not wade so I would say Durant is more valuable to his team.

  4. I'd have to agree and go with Durant.
